 Registration for the Fall 2017 Season is Closed

and Teams Have Been Selected

Who is Eligible?
Gorham residents with a birth date between August 1, 2003 and July 31, 2009 (or a birth date of August 1, 2009 or later but the child is entering the third grade in the fall of 2017).  Age groups for the 2017 Fall season:

* Children born August 1, 2009 or later who are entering the third grade in the Fall of 2017 are also eligible to play for U9 teams

How much are Registration Fees?
Registration fees are based on the number of children in the family that are playing for a GYSA travel team.  The fee structure for Fall 2017:

First Child – $185.00
Second Child – $125.00
Each Additional Child – $100.00

All GYSA players must purchase a uniform kit comprised of two jerseys, shorts and game socks.  The club pays for the uniform kit for all U9 and other first year players.  Returning players are not required to purchase a new kit – they only need to replace uniform articles that no longer fit or are in bad condition.  Uniform kits are ordered on GYSA’s Uniform Night, which is in mid-June.  The cost of a replacement kit is $40.  Items may also be purchased individually at a cost of $16 for each shirt, $6 for a pair of shorts, and $3 for a pair of socks.

How do I register and how do I pay?
For the Fall 2017 season, all players in all age groups (U9 – U14) will use the GotSoccer on-line registration process.  Please click on this link in order to access the GotSoccer on-line registration process:

Within the Registration application, you may either pay by credit card or by e-check.  Payment must be made prior to your son or daughter participating in tryouts / assessments.

Refund Policy – Adopted by the GYSA Board March 2016
A player offered a roster spot within his or her age group (including multi-age teams, such as a U13/U14 team) will be ineligible for a refund. In extenuating circumstances (e.g., the player moves out of Gorham), the GYSA Board may approve a refund. Players not offered a roster spot will be refunded in full.

There shall be no refunds for uniform, jacket, backpack or other clothing purchases.

The GYSA Board approves a limited number of player scholarships each year.  Both full and partial scholarships are available.  Additional details on the scholarship application process are included in the application.  In order to apply for a scholarship, the GYSA scholarship form should be completed prior to registering your son or daughter electronically and e-mailed to  If the scholarship is approved, you will be provided a voucher number to use when registering your child electronically.

For U12 – U14 players, the application must be submitted by April 24th.  For U9 – U11 players, the application must be submitted by May 15th.

2017 Dates for Tryouts and Assessments
Tryouts for U12 – U14 will be held at Gorham Sports Center on April 30th and May 1st with the following schedule for both nights:

April 30th & May 1st
5:30 – 6:30 U12 Boys and U12 Girls
6:30 – 7:45 U13 Boys and U13 Girls
7:45 – 9:00 U14 Boys and U14 Girls

Player assessments for U9 – U11 will be held at Gorham Sports Center on May 21, 22 and 23 with the following schedule:

May 21st
5:15 – 7:00 U9 Boys and Girls
6:45 – 8:30 U11 Boys and Girls

May 22nd
5:15 – 7:00 U10 Boys and Girls
6:45 – 8:30 U11 Boys and Girls

May 23rd
5:15 – 7:00 U9 Boys and Girls
6:45 – 8:30 U10 Boys and Girls

There are two tryout / assessment dates for each age group.  We strongly encourage all players to attend both nights for their age group.

What is the Deadline for Registration?
U12 – U14 Registration Deadline:  April 29th
U9 – U11 Registration Deadline:  May 20th
