Player Registration

Who is Eligible?
Gorham residents with a birth date between August 1, 2006 and July 31, 2012 (or a birth date of August 1, 2011 or after, but the child is entering the third grade in the fall of 2020).

Age groups for the 2020 Fall season:

* Children born August 1, 2011 or later who are entering the third grade in the Fall of 2020 are also eligible to play for U9 teams

How much are Registration Fees?
Registration fees are based on the number of children in the family that are playing for a GYSA travel team.  The fee structure for Fall Soccer is as follows:

Early registration through April 15th:
  • 1st child $195
  • 2nd child $145
  • 3rd or more $125
After April 15th:
  • 1st child $215
  • 2nd child $165
  • 3rd or more $145

What is the Deadline for Registration?

Registration closes April 30th at midnight. For players looking to register after April 30th, you will have to contact the Club Registrar at to receive an exception and would be subject to a late fee.  There will be a late fee of $25 applied for any returning player granted an exception. New players are provided an exemption from the late fee.

How do I register and how do I pay?
Fall 2020 Registration
is now open. All players use the link provided. Payment can be completed using credit card or by e-check.  Payment must be made prior to your son or daughter participating in tryouts / assessments.

Refund Policy – Adopted by the GYSA Board March 2016
A player offered a roster spot within his or her age group (including multi-age teams, such as a U13/U14 team) will be ineligible for a refund. In extenuating circumstances (e.g., the player moves out of Gorham), the GYSA Board may approve a refund. Players not offered a roster spot will be refunded in full.

There shall be no refunds for uniform, jacket, backpack or other clothing purchases.

The GYSA Board approves a limited number of player scholarships each year.  Both full and partial scholarships are available.  Additional details on the scholarship application process are included in the application.  In order to apply for a scholarship, the GYSA scholarship form should be completed prior to registering your son or daughter electronically and e-mailed to  If the scholarship is approved, you will be provided a voucher number to use when registering your child electronically.

Scholarship submission deadlines is April 30th.
